Aktualisiert im September 2026.<\/em> In einem Streit \u00fcber die Kennzeichnung von Schokolade hat der Europ\u00e4ische Gerichtshof ein Machtwort gesprochen. Die in Italien \u00fcbliche Qualit\u00e4tsangabe \u201ereine Schokolade\u201c ist nach dem Urteil der Luxemburger Richter nicht zul\u00e4ssig. Nach EU-Recht, das auch in der Schweiz angewendet wird, d\u00fcrfen die Hersteller bis zu f\u00fcnf Prozent Ersatzfette in ihren Produkten verwenden.<\/p>\n

Dies m\u00fcssen sie allerdings auf dem Etikett angeben. Umgekehrt d\u00fcrfen sie auf der Verpackung darauf hinweisen, wenn eine Schokolade nur Kakaobutter enth\u00e4lt. Ob ein Produkt zu 100 Prozent aus Kakaobutter oder anteilig aus Ersatzfetten hergestellt wurde, muss nach dem Urteil lediglich in der Liste der Zutaten aufgef\u00fchrt werden.<\/p>\n

W\u00e4hrend die Schokoladenindustrie in Italien und Belgien, von der auch Schokologo den Rohstoff f\u00fcr individuelle Werbeartikel aus Schokolade bezieht, traditionell fast ausschlie\u00dflich auf Kakaobutter zur\u00fcckgreift, wird etwa in Gro\u00dfbritannien h\u00e4ufig ein gro\u00dfer Anteil anderer pflanzlicher Fette verwendet. Im Jahr 1999 hatte sich die EU dennoch auf die einheitliche Bezeichnung \u201eSchokolade\u201c f\u00fcr alle Produkte geeinigt. Die 2003 in Italien eingef\u00fchrte Bezeichnung \u201ereine Schokolade\u201c ist nach Ansicht des EuGH ein Versto\u00df gegen diese EU-Richtlinie.<\/p>\n

Was das f\u00fcr Werbeschokolade hei\u00dft<\/h2>\n

Schokologo verarbeitet belgische Callebaut-Kuvert\u00fcre \u2013 Vollmilch, Zartbitter mit 60 % Kakao und Wei\u00df \u2013 mit Kakaobutter als einzigem Fett aus der Kakaobohne; ein Reinheitsgebot braucht es daf\u00fcr nicht, die Zutatenliste sagt es.
