A poem about chocolate fits on any card, in any speech and any occasion – here are three: an ode, a verse to make you smile and four lines for a birthday. All three are free to pass on. And because we emboss logos into chocolate in Düsseldorf, the end of the page lists the occasions where chocolate works best.
An Ode to Chocolate
You come as bar, as heart, as star,
in milk or dark – we love you as you are.
You break with a snap, you melt so slow,
one square of you and worries go.
You carry a logo, carry a name,
you travel as a greeting, never the same.
You say “thank you”, you say “welcome”,
you’ve won the hearts where words won’t come.
At trade fairs, parties, year-end time,
you are the gift that needs no rhyme.
One piece of you, a moment shared –
and business shows that someone cared.
Oh chocolate, sweet and plain:
for every occasion, you remain.
A chocolate poem to make you smile
I meant to be good today, I swear:
just apples, water and fresh air.
Then there it lay, a bar, brand new –
I kept my promise. To it. Not to you.
Four lines for a birthday
Happy birthday: joy and health,
time and sunshine, modest wealth,
friends and laughter, calm and cheer –
and chocolate. That’s the year.
All three poems were written by Schokologo and may be used freely for cards, speeches and greetings – a mention of schokologo.com is welcome, not required.
Chocolate for every occasion
A poem works twice as well with chocolate beside it – embossed with your logo, made of Belgian Callebaut chocolate in our Düsseldorf manufactory. The occasions where it works best:
- Trade-show giveaways – the chocolate coin with your logo on the stand
- Corporate anniversary gifts – your anniversary number in chocolate
- Christmas – gifts for clients and employees
- Advent calendars – present for 24 days
- Easter – the spring greeting to your clients
- Mailing – chocolate in the letterbox
- Saying thank you and welcome: corporate gifts and employee gifts
- Showing heart: the chocolate heart with your logo – for clients you are fond of
A poem needs a card
